can louisanan creoles and cajuns be blasian black and asian?

Many Mestizos and Garifuna have intermarried with Creoles and identify with Creole culture. Even members of other Asian groups are becomming absorbed into Creole culture. Thus, Cane River Creole typically refers to the descendants and heritage of the multicultural, multi-ethnic group who lived in the Red River area prior to 1807. Outside of the Cane River area, the term may be applied further to ethnically blended peoples (usually European combined with either African or Asian) of the West Indies, Southern United States, Vietnam, India, Europe and West and Southern Africa. Today, it is the intense pride in and attachment to one’s French ancestry, rather than race, that is key to understanding what it means to be Creole We are the Louisiana French, proud of
the French and African heritage. We are
European, African, Asian, and American.
Cajun, Creole. Let us dare to say it.
And all the worst for those who do not like
what we are. How long can they look at us and tell
us we do not exist?

Just keep crankin’ out that tasty Jambalaya!
